What are Éclat d’Âme candles made of?Our candles are crafted with 100% soy wax, a natural, renewable, and biodegradable ingredient that burns cleaner than paraffin. We use crackling wooden wicks for a soothing ambiance and a more even burn. Our fragrances are phthalate-free, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free, ensuring a luxurious experience without harmful toxins. Plus, when melted, our candles reveal a stunning golden shimmer, adding a magical touch to your space.
-
Are your candles safe for pets and children?Yes! Our candles are made with non-toxic, pet-friendly, and vegan ingredients. However, as with all candles, we advise keeping them out of reach of pets and children and never leaving a burning candle unattended.
-
How long do your candles burn? Each candle is designed for long-lasting enjoyment! On average, our candles burn for 55-65 hours, depending on usage and proper care.
-
Why does my candle have a wooden wick?We chose crackling wooden wicks because they create a soft, cozy ambiance with a gentle crackle—like a mini fireplace in a jar! Wooden wicks also provide a cleaner, slower, and more even burn compared to traditional cotton wicks.
-
How do I get the best burn from my candle? To ensure an even, long-lasting burn, follow these steps: Trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each use to prevent excessive soot and ensure a steady flame. Allow a full melt pool (let the wax melt evenly across the surface) during the first burn to avoid tunneling. Do not burn longer than 4 hours at a time to maintain wax quality and wick performance. Keep away from drafts to ensure an even burn and prevent excessive flickering.
-
Why is my candle tunneling?Tunneling happens when a candle isn’t burned long enough for the wax to melt all the way across. To prevent this: Always allow the first burn to last 2-3 hours, or until the wax melts evenly to the edges of the jar. If tunneling has already occurred, try using a foil tent method (wrapping the top of the candle with foil while leaving an opening for the flame) to help even out the wax melt.
-
What should I do if my wooden wick won’t stay lit?Trim your wick to 1/8 inch before lighting. If it’s too long, it may struggle to stay lit. If the wick is buried in wax, use a tissue or cotton swab to remove excess wax around it. Ensure there’s no draft interfering with the flame.
